There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in. – Leonard Cohen

I don’t understand how people can be so moved by hate and division.

I don’t understand how America can survive if we continue to ignore racism, sexism, classism, climate change, and poverty.

I don’t understand how we’ve become so broken.

Whatever happens, please remember that there is still light in the world. Remember that there are people out there who know you’re worthy, that you’re human, that your voice and life matter.

Remember to treat others with respect and love, even if they don’t reciprocate. We have to make a change. It starts with us. Protest however you see fit, whether it’s marching, writing, canvassing, painting, signing petitions, or simply having a difficult conversation. Open up a dialogue. If you don’t exercise your voice, no one will listen.

Spread love, light, and hope. Heal each other, heal the world.

We are here. We are here.
